Lake District Wildlife Park

A great idea from Lou for a meet up with the animals. So close to home and I never realised that the Lake District Wildlife Park existed and it was a lot better than I anticipated.

First stop the meerkats!!

And the crazy headed birds!!

Then to the goats which very much liked the food that you can buy to feed them. Evie liked to hold the food but was then too scared to actually feed the animals, so placed it just out of reach on the path the wrong side of the fence!!! Tease!

Evan not so disturbed by the up close goat encounter as Evie.

Evie’s favourite was definitely the ring tailed lemurs!!

Up close to these amazing birds of prey – a golden eagle at the top.

Then on to the more unusual; a red panda, zebra and flamingos – not your everyday Lake District animal.

Lunch was dominated by the amazing soft play – Evie lost all interest in lunch when she disappeared and found this room!

And then a really amazing outdoor park with a lot to keep them busy for years to come.

So all in all, a great day out. So good we upgraded to an annual pass on the way out…. so we will be back. Maybe one day Evie will enjoy feeding the animals!
